Stop At: Altun Ha, Rock Stone Pond Belize
Altun Ha Maya Temple site is located along the Old Northern Highway in the Maskall area also known as Rock Stone Pond.

You'll start the tour at the Nohoch Che'en Reserve. Start by wading across the river (about knee deep). Once on the other side, enjoy a guided nature walk through the jungle and a dry cave as you make your way to the starting point. Double hard shell sit on top kayaks await you at the riverside. Get acquainted with your kayak as you listen in to the safety briefing. Start with a short paddle upstream to the very first cave, where the river comes up from underground. Then head downstream, guiding your kayak through the cave systems with only your headlamp to lead the way! The river winds in and out of several cave systems and finishes with an open stretch along the jungle-lined river, ending where you first waded across the river.

Stop At: Belize Sign, FRR9+J57, Belize City, Belize
After your adventure, you'll return to Belize City winding your way through the historical streets and sights - perfect photo opportunities - on your way back to your drop off location.

The cave was natural and had a lot of history behind it. The water flow was amazing the tubing experience was refreshing. Overall, we enjoyed the peace and quiet of this amazing cave experience.

Auner the tour guide was very knowledgeable!!! First, he picked our group up at our Vrbo rental house which was in Phase 3 (outside of town). It was hard for taxi services to get to the Vrbo house but Auner found it very easy. The WhatsApp is very handy and I sent the manager the vrbo house location via that app. We was a group of girls (5), loud and proud! He was very respectful. The girls wanted to eat lunch in between tubing and the ruins. He kindly took us to a tiki bar/restaurant on the way. The history on Altun Ha was interesting to compare to Lamanai Ruins that we had seen several days prior. He helped us understand the culture and differences in the timeline of the two ruins. I would definitely recommend Auner as the tour guide!Amazing! This tour is 8 hours, not 4. Our tour guide Auner was the best!
