This café is the result of a dream of a crazy engineer, who dreamed of having a place to teach about his great passion: coffee.
We will have the best coffee in town reserved entirely for us, so we can learn from this crazy engineer, which is our ideal coffee.

This was a great introduction to the worldwide history of coffee by a very knowledgeable coffee connoisseur. David & his team at Café de Mural allowed us to taste 5-6 different types of coffee brewed in various ways, plus we each got to take home a bag of our favorite coffee beans that we tried during the class. It was interesting to learn that although Colombia now supplies some of the best coffee beans in the world, the preparations are very much influenced by German, Italian, & Dutch technology and influence. While we didn’t leave the class jittery after the 2.5 hour tasting, my husband and I both had a night of wild dreams following this experience :) Still would highly recommend for any coffee enthusiasts when visiting Cartagena!This coffee tasting provided a fun and thorough review of the diverse coffee brewing methods and roasting styles. We also learned the history behind each method. Would highly recommend!

We learned so much, enjoyed the coffee, conversation and made new friends. The guide is extremely knowledgable on the subject of coffee and I can no say I know a ton more than before. Amazing coffee drinks along the way too. Had fun and would definitely recommend .The time spent educating and explaining the history and knowledge was top notch. I can't recommend booking a tour enough. I wasn't a huge coffee drinker, but my wife was, and even I enjoyed the experience.
