Five of us did this tour. We are horse lovers, so booked with some trepidation. We needn’t have worried . Luigi is a fabulous horse, in super condition . And what a character . He knows which shops he can stop at , and the shop owners will give him a treat . Marika has two horses , so they work every other day. Her knowledge of English is very good , we had quite a comprehensive tour through Lucca , for about an hour . If you want a little local knowledge, and a fun way to see Lucca, book Lucca carriage tours , you won’t be disappointed. Note 5 passengers max.Excellent tour. Marika was very interesting and told us a lot of interesting stuff about Lucca, her focus relies on the Chrches and their architecture. The horse is the funniest one I ever saw. If you make the trip you’ll understand why.

Marica and Luigi were amazing and went above and beyond! I mentioned to Marica that I had tried to book her combo city center/city walls tour but the system wouldn't let me confirm it. Near the end of our city center tour she asked if we were short on time or rushed and we said we were great. She then added time to our carriage ride and took us up on the walls and gave us more great information and service... Free of charge! While it's true that she wasn't busy that day, it was an unexpected and extremely generous treat! I don't expect that everyone would receive this bonus, but it is just an example of the kind person and good business-sense of our outstanding host. The entire experience was excellent and she and Luigi were very professional. It was great to see them interact with the locals while giving my family a wonderful experience.
