Matteo is the man. Best tour guide since we got to Spain. He was fun, he was friendly, he was knowledgeable. He even drank with us throughout the night! Thank you Matteo for a great evening and showing us the best food spots in Cadiz.

Thank you Matteo for a great evening and showing us the best food spots in Cadiz.We had a lovely, friendly guide so I don't like leaving a negative review but the tour was only 2 hours not 3 , we only went to 2 places and ended up with a bit of a debate about how many plates and how many drinks were included in the tour. Poor value for money in the end.

We enjoyed a fabulous tour with Matteo, booked last minute and ended up being just the two of us. Matteo was knowledgeable and fun to be with. He took us to three excellent places, and we enjoyed all the foods and wines he ordered as well as his explanations of the traditions of each tapa we tried. He made sure to check if we had any particular likes or dislikes, or any food allergies. He also shared his knowledge of Cadiz and suggested other activities we might enjoy. We did a Tapas Tour in Cadiz with Cadizfornia Tours on the 29th of April2023. We had previously done other Tapas tours in Seville and Madrid with other companies so were keen that the experience was at least equal. Our guide was Ana who was a delight and introduced us to the other couple on the tour who were Spanish. We had a dual language group which Ana was excellent in managing giving us both her attention. We visited two excellent Tapas restaurants and had excellent food, service and attention. Ana explained the dishes, about the restaurants and background to Cadiz and the wider region of Jerez. The semi-dulce wine at El Faro was spectacular and the chicharones especial and queso with asparagus at the other taverna were impeccable. All the whole enjoying good conversation, with Matteo always welcoming my questions.
