Byron Bay Wildlife Safari
Overview
All of our guides are environmental scientists. They will help you learn to spot the different between a kangaroo and wallaby, or a grey-headed flying fox and a black one.
Along the way you will be amazed at the abundant birdlife. Native hens, ducks and waders; noisy colourful parrots; iconic kookaburra; magpies; currawong; tiny flitting wrens and robins, are just some of the birdlife we see on this tour.
Inclusions

Our Wildlife Safari takes you to three different habitats near Byron Bay.
You’ll visit eucalyptus forest, rainforest and grassland to discover the animals that live there.
We guarantee you’ll see a koala or two, a mob of kangaroo, a whole colony of flying fox and many species of bird. If conditions are right you may also see pademelon, echidna, tawny frogmouth and water dragons.
You will travel in our comfy eight-seater 4WD with an environmental scientist as your guide. For lunch? A picnic of locally-sourced goodness.
We are an award winning eco-tour company and we are passionate about what we do. As with all our eco-tours, it is our goal to observe but not disturb the wildlife. If you want to feed or pat the wildlife, this is not the tour for you.

What an amazing day! Wendy took us to see Australian wildlife in their natural habitats. She personally took us to see Flying Fox, Kuala, Pademelons, Wallabies, Kangaroo and loads of other species in their environments. We got to see the Australian countryside and the creatures who inhabit it. She also provided a lovely picnic lunch in a beautiful setting. Don’t see wildlife in a zoo. Have Wendy take you on a day safari in the Australian countryside.Did the Wildlife Safari tour and it was everyting the description said it would be. Our Wildlife tour guide Wendy was just incredible and had so much knowledge so we did learn a lot about the animals and about the area. The lunch (chicken salad) was also very nice. We met Wendy at the appointed meeting place, then after the introductions we were delighted to discover that we were her only customers on that particular day. We set off and soon discovered how knowledgeable and enthusiastic Wendy is about wildlife. We saw everything that we set off to see Flying Foxes, various birds, kangaroos, paedomelons and of course Koalas ( I think it may have been 15 in total ) inc adults and babies. We stopped off for a picnic lunch which was just right & then continued our Safari. By the end of the trip we were spotting Koalas on our own having been shown the clues of what to look for. 2 days later we went out into Queensland and spotted 3 Koala's unassisted. Thankyou Wendy a great experience with same great memories. Dave & Jane
