My 3-star rating is due to several things: 1) it is off-the-beaten path and not easy to find, 2) I had difficulty getting an Uber ba...
The tour guide was very informative about the butterflies and I felt I learned a lot from him. I applaud the work they are doing to conserve the native butterflies. My 3-star rating is due to several things: 1) it is off-the-beaten path and not easy to find, 2) I had difficulty getting an Uber back to the Romantic Zone as several Uber drivers dropped me when they realized how far out it was, so I had to end up walking down the dirt road quite a way to finally get to a point where an Uber would come pick me up, 3) the property is rough-looking and the building where the butterflies are was very hot & humid so it was uncomfortable staying there for any length of time, and 4) I needed to go to the restroom and although there were 4 toilets, there was not one piece of toilet paper to be found in any of the stalls. Just understand, they are still in the early stages of getting this going and long-term, it has great potential.Appreciate the knowledge and dedication the staff have to establish and build the sanctuary. The website would be easier to use if you could link calls and Google map directly.

A must do activity for anyone wishing to get away from touristy areas and activities! My spouse Chris and I visited on 4/14/22. It was a wonderful and highly educational visit. Our guide, Fabian, is an excellent teacher and a kind soul. We were fortunate to not only spend time learning about indigenous butterfly and plant species, but also to get to know a little about his and Cristian's lives and their journey to creating this wonderful place.
