Overview

How to taste a wine (basic and advanced courses), understanding of Burgundy's classification, grapes, history & areas, food & wine pairing, viticulture, vinification etc.

You will know everything about Burgundy! Or at least the most important things to know.
The tastings are always relaxed and informative.

What to expect

The starting time is at 4.30pm, but I sometimes accept special requests and move the starting time. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need an earlier/later slot, I'll do my best to accomodate.

We always start the tastings with an explanation of how to taste a wine properly. The methode is based on the Wine & Spirit Education Trust systematic approach to wine tasting. Your guide reached the highest level of this school in London last year and has ten years of experience leading tasting to both amateurs and professionals.
Then along with tasting wines, he will guide you through the different areas within Burgundy, the different grapes, the history, the rules of production, how to read a label in Burgundy etc. Everything you want to understand about the region will be approched.
The atmosphere is always relaxed, you won't feel rushed, and you won't feel like you can't ask a question. We aim to make you feel confortable and make you want to come back!
