We were amazed at how 2 vines 500 metres apart, can produce different tastes. We valued being part of a small personalised tour. We had a wonderful day with Paul as our guide for the all day tour. Paul did a very good job of explaining about not only the area and the wines but also about the history of the area. The tour began with viewing a large map of the area which helped to get an idea of what we would be seeing that day. Then off to the vineyards, the wineries and wine cellars and wine tastings. The tour was not just a tour to taste the wines, but to really learn about the area and see first hand to wine making process. And, I was so pleased that he took the time to help demystify the French wine labels for us and I am not much more confident in reading French wine labels.Emmanuel was a great guide - very knowledgable about all aspects of Burgundy. The day felt like a personal trip, adjusted to what we wanted to do and not a scripted / set route. I would recommend Emmanuel to anyone wanting to see/ understand the burgundy scene.
