Deyan, Svetlo, and Kiril did a great job of showing us the natural beauty, culture, history, and food of Bulgaria and Romania by bike. We rode for 7 days averaging just under 30 miles a day. We saw an amazing diversity of history and culture and the food was amazing. That was the big bright surprise of the trip for me. I love to eat and was really pleased with the choices that we had. Especially considering how remote we were at times. The guys did a great job of planning that. The Turkish family that prepared our lunch was a real highlight. The homemade Balaclava was exceptional. The riding was fun on a wide variety of surfaces from main roads to gypsy tracks. We know because we saw the gypsy with her family cleaning rugs. My favorite parts were the scenic road ride in Romania that ended in a beautiful wetland with amazing bird life and the rugged Black Sea Coast above Varna. These are great countries and well worth getting a little off the beaten path to see. The guys work really hard to make sure you see it all and learn about the amazing history of the region.Excellent experience. Excellent experience. Deyan worked with us to create a personalized tour consisting of 4 days riding to villages along the Danube and concluding with several days of hub and spoke tour on the Black Sea. The routes were well thought out taking us on ancient Roman roads, through farm country, villages, and plateaus with spectacular vistas along the Black Sea. Deyan's love of Bulgaria and intense knowledge of his country's history made this trip much more than a bike tour! Deyan is very accommodating, with great concern for his cyclist safety and enjoyment of all parts of the tour. Deyan went out of his way to make sure we saw the unique sights of Bulgaria. Thank you for all your hard work!This was really amazing! We took one day tour to the seacost. Deyan has kept attention all the time to us. It is safely and interesting trip. An excellent experience . Deyan cycled with the two of us on a 5 day moderate tour from Kalimantsi to Varna (Jagiellonian March). We were supported by either Sveto or Kiril in the van. All very personable, professional, adaptable guys with excellent knowledge of their country and its history. At all times our safety and welfare was important to them. All our needs were met - great bikes, very good, clean accommodation and meals, excellent rural and village scenery, and helpful advice on planning the rest of our holiday in Bulgaria. We had a great experience at a very reasonable price and on returning to Australia we have been recommending it to our friends. We , 55 and 68 yrs, had 2 days ( were on a cruise ship sailing the Black Sea ) to experience Bulgaria by bike. Deyan, ( manager) from Plateau Cycling picked us up from port in Bourgas with a van and bikes. We drove to a small village where the 3 of us cycled through pretty landscape. We had a late lunch in a typical country pub sitting outside in the autumn sun. Nearby we visited a famous beautiful winery Chateau Medovo. From there we drove to ancient Nessebar. Than cycled to our quaint guesthouse near Byala. The owner and Deyan cooked us a delicious local meal and entertained us with their life stories. After a huge breakfast we drove closer to Varna and than biked up the plateaus which that region is famous for. Deyan had us back on the ship by 4 pm. Instead of booking ship shore bus excursions we definitely did better. Great tour, great service and a very professional likeable guide. Thanks Deyan we will be back!
