Buggy Tour from Amber Cove and Taino Bay Puerto Plata
Overview
An ATV, also known as a quad, is a vehicle that travels on low-pressure tires, with a seat straddled by the operator, along with handlebars for steering control. This excursion is so much fun! Be sure to wear clothes that don't bother you and bring a scarf to wrap around your face to prevent mud from getting into your mouth.
The driver sits and operates these vehicles like a motorcycle, but the additional wheels provide more stability at slower speeds.

Our first stop was the monkey jungle, it was the most amazing experience I've ever had! Then we went on to the buggies they were so much fun!! I can't recommend this company enough! I've never had such a great experience with a company and we have been on alot of cruises. Every person we came in contact with during our tour were so great, they were all so helpful and friendly. We felt very safe the entire tour. I can't wait to come back and we will definitely be using Rigo again!We loved this tour. William was so attentive and helpful with everything. I contacted Rigo through Facebook messenger and he responded almost immediately. We chatted back and forth and customized a tour just for my family. I told him the things we were interested in, and he made some suggestions and just like that we had a tour planned. The day we arrived at Amber Cove; he sent me a message saying he was there waiting for us to disembark. As we made our way to the meeting spot, you could see this very tall man in a bright green shirt standing there smiling. We knew it had to be Rigo. He had our large tour van ready with the air conditioner blasting and a cooler full of bottled water. We loaded up our party of 10 and off we went. City tour, rum tasting, chocolate factory, shopping, baseball fields, lunch, and last the buggy ride. Rigo knew all the perfect spots. He also has some pretty cool tricks for taking pictures. By the end of the day, I felt like Rigo was part of my family. When we return to the DR, Rigo will be the only tour guide we will be using!
