What to expect
Situated on the slope of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, Buena Vista Lodge combines several quintessential Costa Rica attractions into a single location. During this combo tour, you can zipline through the canopy, fly down a massive water slide, ride a horse through the forest, shop in Liberia, and relax at the onsite spa with its sauna, mud bath, and hot springs.

The Buena Vista Mega Combo was such a great day! And it really was a mega combo of activities. You get to zipline across steep swaths of rainforest. (I am very afraid of heights but felt safe the entire time and was able to really enjoy it). After ziplining, we did the waterslide through the forest. There were howler monkeys at the top of the slide, and we all went twice, it was so fun! After the slide was a cultural experience where they showed how they used oxen to mill sugar, traditional coffee preparation, and pottery followed by a lunch buffet, super yummy. After lunch was the horseback riding. If you've never been on a horse before I would suggest it for the experience. I ride horses regularly and would probably skip it in the future. You are placed on a horse and the herd of horses are herded to the destination and when you get off they all go home on their own lol. After the ride, you hike to a waterfall. To finish it all you get to go to the hot springs complete with volcanic mud to put on your skin. He was super fun, energetic, and very knowledgeable and everything flowed very smoothly moving to each activity. Jairo Tours was the absolute best experience. I looked through the reviews and realized that others were just afraid as me to participate in all the adventures. Also a plus of picking us up from Dreams. Upon arrival Maria Nela met us at our resort, and her warm sweet personality let me know I was going to be in good hands. My husband and I chose the Mega Tour, through fear and all we completed 7 zip lines, 400 meters water slide, hiked to the water fall, horse back riding, ate an amazing buffet, participated in juicing sugar cane, visited the cultural center, took a dip in the hot springs and had a volcanic mud bath. The tour will always be memorable ! When fear started to sit in I talked to Maria Nela and she always convinced us to keep going, she even helped us brush up on our Español.This was such an amazing experience! Jairo was very friendly, knowledgeable and made our day one we will never forget! Definitely would take Jairo tours again.

Jairo and Alex are fantastic and friendly guides who made our trip one to remember. Graciously serving as our transportation from the airport to our first accommodation in the arenal volcano area they showed us the sights along the 2.5 hour drive to and from. After dropping us off at Secrets our second destination, Jairo and Alex picked us on our third day in Costa Rico to experience the mega combo excursion. An 1.5 hour drive - we experienced zip lining, horse back riding, a water slide, waterfall and mud bath with hot springs. A great option if your short on time and want to experience a little bit of everything. Jairo captured a lot of great photos and videos that created a ton of trip highlights and all of the fun and silly moments. We felt 100% safe and secure with Alex and Jairo and their customer services was above and beyond.What a great experience! A wonderful trip.The staff is so professional, kind and attentive.
