This trip includes amazing scenery, thrilling whitewater, cliff jumping & swimming opportunities in the crystal clear water, as well as a delicious gourmet lunch prepared riverside by your guides. It’s a true Colorado adventure from start to finish!

My family and I did the half day trip and totally enjoyed ourselves. Our guide, Emma, was really friendly and did a great job on the rapids. Definitely would recommend this for a first time outing.

They use their hooves to flick the fish up so their friends can back-board the fish into another cows mouth. The crazy fish-flicking can get so intense that the guides have to teach fish-dodging skills. Sleepy Nate was so thorough in his guidance on these illusive ‘surf and turf’ breed of cattle that our crew felt confident in dodging the fish-eating cows while riding class 3 rapids. - the gullible back-of-the-boat buddyOur guide Spencer was outstanding and was an excellent accompaniment to some of the most beautiful scenery in Colorado. We had an amazing time on the river with Jordan! She was patient, encouraging, and put up with our goofy kids. I loved that it was just our family of 4 plus the guide in our boat. It really made the experience more comfortable and relaxed. Plus, we saw a couple of rafts from other outfitters that were all the way full with 8 people and got stuck—definitely was glad to be able to maneuver better! Having the wetsuits, splash jackets, and water shoes available without an additional cost was another thing that set American Adventures above the rest. Overall, I highly recommend them for a great family experience!Kevin our guide, was the man. Very educated about everything. Had our 70 year old mother with us and she has a fairly new knee replacement. Had a wonderful time. Thanks, Kevin
