What to expect
Rumble aboard The Underground train as it rolls through an historic mining tunnel. Push up your sleeves at our Gold Panning Pavilion and keep what you find! Immerse yourself in the award-winning, live-action, multi-sensory experience of BOOM! on the breathtaking ground level of the historic Mill No.3 building. Learn about minerals, the copper extraction process and what life was like back in the day as the mill building is brought back to life.
Britannia Mine Museum opens up a little-seen world that fascinates all ages, offering awe-inspiring sights and memorable family experiences. Take a step back in time at this award-winning attraction and National Historic Site. Located along the scenic Sea to Sky corridor/Hwy99 between Squamish and Vancouver. See you soon!

- We recommend booking your tour time in advance. We cannot guarantee availability unless it is booked in advance.
- Reservations can be made online up to 12 hour prior to a tour time
- The Underground Tour is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible
- Please do not visit if you are showing any signs of Covid-19 symptoms
- To access the underground train tour you will need to climb 48 stairs
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking, unless booked within 1 hours of travel. In this case confirmation will be received as soon as possible, subject to availability

Really enjoyed going to Britannia Mine! The new exhibit had just opened on the day that I visited and I really enjoyed reading through the exhibit. The newspaper primary source articles were really funny especially the person who wrote the gripe article. The mining tour was really informative and well done and good for all ages! It is a little chilly in the tunnels so bring a sweater with you. All the information was really well presented and showed what living in Britannia was like as well as the positive and negative impacts that mining had on the community. I went during the week so it was relatively quiet but be sure to book ahead for the tours as they sell out quickly during the weekends.We had an Excellent tour guide (Mae) and so much fun in each part of the experience....we will be back again for sure :) Great for adults and kids alike, finished up gold panning and found some treasure! The Mill 3 interactive show was the highlight for me!
