Brighton i360 Viewing Tower - Journey
Overview
Glide up slowly to 450 ft in the giant glass viewing pod – 10 times the size of a London Eye capsule. Enjoy 360 degree views across the rooftops of Brighton, up to the South Downs, across the coastline to the Seven Sisters and looking west to the Isle of Wight.
The Sky Bar on board the pod serves Nyetimber sparkling wine and other drinks from Sussex, so you can raise a glass of something special while taking in the views.
Our friendly team will welcome you on board, point out landmarks and answer any questions. The pod is heated and air-conditioned to ensure year-round comfort and it is fully accessible for wheelchair users.
A viewing map is available and a multi-lingual app, available in 10 languages, can be downloaded before you board.
At the end of your journey, the pod descends into the beach building where visitors will find our gift shop, restaurant and exhibition.

The experience is what you expect - you step in a big donut-shaped vessel, and it slowly moves up, stays at the top for 5 mins, and then moves down. In that time frame you walk around the deck looking at Brighton city, the sea and the cliffs and shores. It's ok to take pictures, although the glass can sometimes interfere by causing glare and reflection. That being said, we went at 10:30 am and the place was already swamped; a lot of people sat down probably from the realisation that it was already packed and yet there was still a lot of people walking around - difficult to budge in to take some photos. Also please be aware, after you enter security a guy will stop you and ask if you'd like some photos. We didn't think anything of it, but we find out they were to sell you at the end of the trip. They were taken ridiculously quickly, and the photos were placed on a backdrop completely unrelated to the i360 but rather parts of Brighton instead... horribly photoshopped, it was then put in a small book about the i360 and then he tried selling the lot for £20. Ridiculous. Don't agree to the photos - waste of money.I visited earlier this week with my children during a trip to Brighton. Unfortunately the weather was very cloudy so the view wasn’t great. I visited earlier this week with my children during a trip to Brighton. Unfortunately the weather was very cloudy so the view wasn’t great. However we still thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Check in was smooth and efficient, staff were helpful and informative. There were only a few other people booked at the same time as us (possibly due to the weather!) but this meant that we were able to move around freely and take lots of photos. My son noticed that one of the windows was smashed which scared him a little, especially as it was so windy. I had a 2-for-1 National Rail voucher which I was unable to use online - disappointing that the technology isn’t there to support this as everywhere else seems to accept these vouchers for online bookings. I ended up paying full price so that we could book a time slot in advance of our trip. I thought this was quite an expensive activity, but a unique experience and something I’d recommend to others. Hopefully next time the weather will be better and we’ll get a good view!It was Easter, very cloudy but it didn’t matter to us. We were out just for the experience, we had been before. There were three staff . One member gave a very good presentation. But someone had plugged in there iPad music which played over the presentation , so I could hear it properly. Couldn’t see a thing but was promised a free trip back so that was very good of them. But I must say if it wasn’t for the presenter who was outstanding. One girl filed her nails, danced and sang behind the bar. No eye contact. Rude. Training is definitely needed. One presenter outstanding. The other two need a good talking to.Booked this for my wife’s birthday. Went for an 1130 ride and enjoyed reading the info boards and photo ops whilst we waited. Bought the joint ticket with the Brighton Pavillion which saved a little on entrance fees. We were very lucky with the weather (very clear and minimal wind!). The experience does seem to run in all weathers. All staff were lovely and friendly including allowing us to move timeslots to avoid a large school group. The views are incredible as you look down on the city, beach, piers and along the coast. We had a coffee in the restaurant underneath pre experience and that had lovely views too and a good menu.
