If you think you know everything about your city, this tour will add a lot to your knowledge. Bill the tour guide brought in his personal and family experience with the brewing scene of the past. He was informative and funny. He was also very kind and considerate to the older ladies on the tour (me) who might have had a bit of trouble navigating the cellar steps and tunnel. You begin at the Morelein Lager House Restaurant and Bar. You meet inside it's beautiful museum of Beer history. A walking tour, our guide showed us several buildings of what had been breweries and bars at one time. She helped us to visualize how popular Vine Street was before prohibition shut down most of those establishments. The final building we were allowed to enter and yes you go down multiple steps (watch your head in a couple of places) you enter into a cellar 40 feet below street level which shows how the brewery operated and stored it's beer. Afterwards they walk you back to the restaurant and give discount tickets for the beer it serves. Hope to take the tour again to show to out of town relatives. We took this tour on what was probably the hottest day of the summer, and it did not disappoint. We took this tour on what was probably the hottest day of the summer, and it did not disappoint. Our tour guide Mike was amazing - he was very knowledgeable about the history of Cincinnati and specifically of brewing in the neighborhood. He could answer every question asked of him. Our favorite part of the tour was the visit to the underground cellars, which was not only a relief from the day's oppressive heat, but also an interesting structure and part of Cinci's brewing history. We would definitely recommend this tour!Wonderful tour with Lisa celebrating Father’s Day! Going down into the lager tunnels was great. She gave great history of brewing in Cincinnati and ended with a cold beer!
