Witness the breathtaking Borobudur sunrise views. When the air is fresh and as the mist begins to lift the sun will surround the volcanoes and terraced fields. You will leave at dawn

This is an incredible day and well worth the price. Tanto was a great driver and very nice! +Borobudur is just an amazing site, rich in history, epically beautiful +Prambanan also just incredible +You have a lot of flexibility in when to ask for breakfast and lunch +All entry to sites is paid for +Extra temple visits are very nice +Special coffee spot also very nice +/- Sunrise is underwhelming. I know all the guide books say to do it, but I think an option to just simply start the day later would be nice. Starting at 4 AM is a bit unnecessary. In my experience, sunsets are way way better than sunrises. If you are going to do this, it is best to watch the sunset at the first coffee stand on the right side. This is the one that is big with all the espresso machines. They have incredible outdoor seating and you are pointed right towards Borobudur. There will be no one here. Walking all the way to the top will just get you too many tourists and a lame platform where you have to stand. +/- Jeep experience is just okay. it fills in the time. Looks like a tourist destination just created out of thin air to help the economy. - It was not clear that tour guides at Borobudur or Prambanan aren't included. Driver stays outside and doesn't buy their ticket for entry. You will have to pay extra, but you will be rewarded for it. All in all, just an incredible day and all the work is done for you, so you should book this trip.KurisuS

I had a very nice driver with the name Tanto. I felt always comfortable at traffic and he also explained details to the temples and so on. How the trip was organized was really good. I had to start at 4AM because of the sunrise but that was really worth it . We arrived all goals with very less visitors but when we left there has been uncountable people arrived in buses. I dont know if that was luck or if it also was part of the great organisation. I requested a Kopi Luwak stop and he also brougth me there to an awesome place were you even can see well kept Luwaks. They hold them just as pets and get the „beans“ from other wild Luwaks, collected by farmers . Very nice! Ask Tando to stop there if you have the time. It was a long day but I totaly enjoyed it!! A great day out. I was travelling alone and had my own car and driver who was very lovely and knowledgeable. Very early start to see sunrise over the volcano and jungle (sunrise over Borobudur not open as of march 2023). The highlight of the day was Borobudur - recommend to take the option to climb the temple as it’s much more spectacular- you can’t see as much from the ground. Unfortunately we missed out on seeing the volcano close up due to poor weather so i can’t comment on that. The lunch spot on a river was really lovely and i never would have found such a place without going on this tour. There were many groups of school kids at the temples wanting to practice their english which was very cute - they were very polite and friendly and their english was excellent - i recommend engaging with them! My only wish was that breakfast, lunch and more water was included, but no other complaints from me!Barbara_M

I've never expect my day to be this fun. We started early in the morning with a beautiful vista point, then change of scenery, Borobudur which was simply amazing.
