Stop At: Loboc River, Philippines
Loboc River and its serene waters are best appreciated with a fascinating ride on motorized pump boats adorned with buntings and native crafts. Due to the weather on the day ( it was atrocious heavy rain) this trip should have been delayed by aviator and rescheduled on a different day. Poor judgement in my opinion. All pick up etc went perfectly however and the guide (Johnathan) did his best. The chocolate hills were in cloud with thunderous rain. A total waste of money I am afraid. At the very least aviator should refund a portion of this very expensive excursion as a gesture of good will!It was a great trip. Divaish International made it a memorable one. Superb customer service. We are on time.

The river cruise is exceptional. There’s a lunch buffet with Filipino delicacies. (You must try the Ube, a purple starchy vegetable. I will be seeking it out when I return to the States.). The scenery is amazing. Local children swing on rope swings and do fancy dives just for tourist adoration. The process is unrushed and is accompanied with live music. Tarsiers are endangered and still live in very few places worldwide. This may be your only chance to see them in real life. They’re tiny and you can get very close up. They are nocturnal, however, so don’t expect much motion. The Chocolate Mountains are nice. We did the optional ATV ride there. These were the trips highlights. The tour was long but well worth it . Had our own guide the whole day . It's worth money to do tour . Getting around island is though unless you know short cuts . All the stops were well worth it . Gets ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ from me

I took a day trip to Bohol with Southwind Travel. They pick up at the hotel and take you back. The trip to the Island is roughly two hours. When you get there the tour is approximately 5 hours. Its on an air conditioned tour bus. There are so many things to see and do there: the Tarsier Monkey sanctuary (you can get very close to them, but are no longer able to hold them), the Butterfly sanctuary with its giant caterpillars and fantastic flowers, the Chocolate Hills which are really amazing to look at (there are stairs to the top of one so you have a beautiful view of the surrounding areas) and you also get to cruise down the Loboc River. The cruise comes with a great buffet lunch. You do make a brief stop at the ancient Immaculate Conception Church which is worth the visit. One interesting thing you see along the way is a massive Rooster "camp" with individual homes for the birds. Cock fighting is huge there. There are mini corrals all over for this. On the the way home we did see a cock fight taking place on the side of the road. Its a pretty nasty affair if you aren't used to it. Well worth the money. Good for all ages. Bohol has nice beaches as does near by Panglao Island. I would definitely stay overnight next time I am there. Panglao is a resort area with lots of Hotels. One note on the boat trip over to Bohol. You get assigned seats when you board, but once you leave port, you can head up to the "cheap seats" on deck and enjoy the sea breeze!
