We had the perfect guide in Les, he was on time and his knowledge was fantastic, he was giving us relevant information all the time, and had the odd joke thrown in which made it even more enjoyable. He got us to the other sites early and got really good parking and vantage points. Although the Zoo and Cable cars were not in the original price, they are well worth the extra cost, as is having your photograph with a Koala, which only tours can do. The cable cars are really good and 3 trips on them for one price. The walk through the jungle before our final ride was very informative and gave us a lot of knowledge about the eco system within the forest and how it protects itself. All in all a very good trip, possibly one of the best ones we have been on, and we have done lots of trips in lots of different countries, well done Les a fantastic day all round.Four long time friends, all of us senior citizens and seasoned travellers went on this trip and we really all cannot say enough good things about the experience. Four long time friends, all of us senior citizens and seasoned travellers went on this trip and we really all cannot say enough good things about the experience. All four of us have taken many different excursions in many different places over the years and this one ranked right up there with the best of them, and maybe could even be considered the best trip we've ever been on. Les, our driver/tour guide, was one of the most knowledgeable persons we've ever met, with a superb personality that just makes you want to smile and enjoy the day. He put his heart and soul into making sure that everyone on the trip had the best day possible. We started off with a visit to Sydney Zoo, which we had to pay extra for, but Les gets quite a discount on the normal price. We got there just as the zoo opened, and he handed us over to a member of the zoo staff who took us down to the koala enclosure for photos with these lovely creatures. You have to pay a small fee for this, but again totally worth it. After this you have free time to explore the zoo before it gets too busy. It was then onto the Elysian Rock Lookout for some amazing views and photo opportunities. We finally rounded off the morning with lunch in the pretty garden village of Leura. In the afternoon we visited Scenic World where we took the cable car across the gorge, then another steep one down into the gorge, followed by a walk through the rainforest and finally a ride on the steepest train in the Southern Hemisphere. Les gave us a great talk as we walked through the rainforest and imparted so much interesting information. This part of the trip is extra but again is totally worth the money, and is something that should not be missed, especially the train climb up the hill. Onto Katoomba Falls for some happy snaps before we fed the wild cockatoos. Finally, before leaving the national park, we visited Lincoln's Rock to get some more brilliant photos. We rounded off the day by going down the Parramatta River on the fast jet ferry to Circular Quay. We would all thoroughly recommend this day and whatever Les's employers are paying him it isn't enough, as the guy is an absolute gem.My friend and I felt that this was one of the best experiences in our travels. My friend and I felt that this was one of the best experiences in our travels. We feel that the guide sets the tone. Les, our guide, was extremely intelligent, definitely knows his stuff and was very humorous. He was very inclusive with a group including young children through seniors. First, we went to the Sydney Zoo where we were admitted before the general public. We got to take pictures with the Koalas first. We really liked the “open gate” policy of the zoo where it was up to each animal whether or not it went outside. Next, was the first of several lookouts. This one was a little tricky getting to,my friend decided not to go. Then we had lunch on our own. Les pointed out several places to eat. After lunch we were off to Scenic World in the Blue Mountains for the cable car adventure. While the cable cars were entertaining, it was the walk to the train that really stood out for me. Although Les explained and entertained along the trip this is where he really shined. Les explained and demonstrated about the environmental conditions, past and present, in the area. We explored the area further seeing some cockatiels and a waterfall. Next was Lincoln’s Rock. We once again had a picturesque overlook of the Blue Mountains. Lastly, it was time to say goodbye to Les as we took the ferry down the Parramatta River under the Harbor Bridge and passed the Opera House. This trip gave us all we were looking for. We had a fabulous day and a fantastic driver/guide who shared heaps of information. Our visit to Sydney Zoo was special as we were able to access before the zoo opened. This trip gave us all we were looking for. We had a fabulous day and a fantastic driver/guide who shared heaps of information. Our visit to Sydney Zoo was special as we were able to access before the zoo opened. Leura is a lovely little village where we stopped for an hour for lunch (own expense). It would have been great if we had some extra time to discover. Views of the Blue Mountains were magnificent and hopping on the ferry back from Olympic Park, gave us the best views of the skyline, the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.Great itinerary and timing. Our tour guide Matthew is very knowledgeable of Australian history. Learning a bit about aboriginal tucker is a bonus! If you are Sydney for only a few days, I would recommend this tour.

Seeing the Three Sisters and the river cruise with amazing views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House in the evening. The Koala Trail at Sydney Zoo was great with an expert talking about these iconic animals of Australia. It was great to have exclusive entry to the zoo before the public.
