What to expect
In our boat tour we will enjoy the diversity of birds and ecosystems present in the Tarcoles River, and the Guacalillo Mangroves, accompanied by our captain and ornithologist guide.

- All tours try to be done as private, therefore a minimum of 4 people is needed for the tour to take place, in case your reservation is for less than 4 people, then you will be added to another reservation until the number of people is completed required.

They run an extremely tastefully designed, slick office with a library on birding & nature and a craftily maintained mangrove project. They provide water, snacks, binoculars and scope as promised. Daniel (reservations), Leo (driver), Yostin (guide) and Ronni (boat captain)- all are very nice & warm people. So, this was a three-hour birding tour with a bit of walking and a boat ride through the mangroves. For those who love birding, which I do, I cannot say enough good things about this tour. Our guide, Randall, was wonderfully knowledgeable. We spotted tiny grey bats sleeping like lichen on a branch, a pygmy flycatcher, the turquoise-browed mot-mot, and 47 other species of birds. Randall went out of his way to make sure that we got terrific photographs as well. I can promise that any birder who takes this tour will walk away delighted with the colors and sounds of Costa Rica and an appreciation of the efforts underway to preserve such beauty.Randall Ortega is the owner and visionary behind this company. Superbe expérience en privée de 3h sur le tarcoles avec une découverte des plus beaux oiseaux de la région sans oublier quelques crocodiles.
