After I arrived 30 minutes late for full day tour, Big Country tours still pulled it off!, spent first part of trip with Joab for the 3 Wats and Imperial Palace and was handed off to the wonderful Mina! She got me fed at a fabulous Thai street food joint and then shepherded me to take a canal tour on a long tail boat!,, I pretty much had a semi private tour! Once we arrived back at HQ I got to try the firms new attempts at cooking class and then had them help me rearrange my taxi back to the airport hotel! I felt so well taken care of. As an aside if you (and you should) take this tour and you are staying at an airport hotel, allow two hours for taxi/ Grab to get you to/ from River City Plaza ( tour start/end).This was such a fun tour! My husband and I had such a great tour with Kat. She took us to see 3 different temples, the first being Wat Traimit where we saw the solid gold Buddha, the second Wat Poh where we saw the amazing reclining Buddha and the third Wat Arun - the temple of dawn. We walked around China town and through their food markets which were most interesting, We visited the beautiful flower markets and it was in that area we had a delicious Pad Thai chicken lunch. Kat was so informative and nothing was too much trouble for her - a most kind lady and we cannot praise her enough. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to mix with local people and see the real Bangkok off the tourist route. Kat’s English was superb.
Kat was the best tour guide that I have ever had, and I have taken many, many tours all over the world - even one in Antarctica. Kat adapted the tour to our needs. She was informative, kind, humorous, friendly, efficient. I simply can't say enough good things about her and the GREAT Best of Ba...
Kat was the best tour guide that I have ever had, and I have taken many, many tours all over the world - even one in Antarctica. Kat adapted the tour to our needs. She was informative, kind, humorous, friendly, efficient. I simply can't say enough good things about her and the GREAT Best of Bangkok tour. We got to see things that few tourists get to see in Bangkok. Walking through the flower market and Chinatown, we saw no other tourists, and, by the way, felt TOTALLY safe. Kat took us to eat at a place that only the locals generally go to. It was wonderful. She even spent a lot of extra time with us helping us book a tour for the next day. See the Best of Bangkok, and hope you get Kat as your guide!!!
