The tour begins at the Wall Documentation Center north of the city cente, in a street where tunnels were dug and people died trying to flee to the West. Based on maps and an open-air exhibition you will gain detailed insight into different aspects concerning the Berlin Wall, and what it meant to live in the divided city.
On the tour you will be able to walk past original segments of the Wall, a guard tower and an open-air gallery dedicated to the Cold War. The tour ends at the Wall Museum at Checkpoint Charlie, which you may visit after the tour if you like.
