This is not a review of the routes or the timings or the audioguides, since all city tours follow the same, this is about the inconvenience caused by booking online on Viator and the constant unavailability of City Circle bus tour staff in the minivans. When you book a tour with Viator online, they only generate a provisional ticket (which blows my mind since they take payment up front) and ask you to hunt down their redemption points to validate your ticket, but when you reach those locations either there is notht to be found or the minivans that are parked are completely deserted. Kudos to the bus crew themselves for letting us travel with just the provisional ticket, but since we didn't have the real thing, we couldn't go on the boat tour which was a huge waste of money. I just don't understand why they just can't hand over the proper ticket as soon as payment is done. They should just do away with the redemption process, since standing around waiting for new passengers is clearly not their strong point.I arrived at one of the recommended addresses to pick up the tour tickets but there was no one to deliver me. I arrived at one of the recommended addresses to pick up the tour tickets but there was no one to deliver me. It was a square, in which a guy who advertised the Hop On Hop Off bus helped me by indicating another address to get the tickets. He told me that the bus itself would take me to the other address. When I got on the Hop On Hop Off bus the driver demanded the ticket I didn't have. I showed the Viator papers, he replied that he needed the tickets. The same guy who had helped me earlier talked to the driver and convinced him to take us to the other address to pick up the tickets. I finally got the tickets and went on the boat tour that was scheduled for 11 am. When I got there, there was no tour at 11 am and I had to wait nearby, on a very cold day, until boarding a boat tour 30 minutes later. In other words, everything is wrong.Pleasant experience. Very frequent connections and polite staff. Can cover almost all landmarks. I would take a 2 day ticket next time as one day seems to be just not enough for this city tour

The bus route covers the most popular and important sites in the city. Also, there appears to be a customer representative at almost every stop along the route. Take this tour! This tour was great except the audio portion barely acknowledged the sites that memoralized the atrocities of World War II. No mention of The Memorial of Murdered Jews even though we drove past it. Only slight mention of The Topography of Terror.

I took this tour with my husband and two children, aged 6 and 8 on a Saturday. Went to catch the bus that was supposed to have a 16 minute frequency but there had been a problem and the bus took half an hour to arrive. The firs seat we took had terrible audio, glitches, weird sound, bad signal, couldn't hear anything, but changed seats after a couple of stops and it was ok. First part of the trip was ok, nice views up to Alex, there the bus stopped for at least 20 minutes under the blazing sun, after a long time someone came up and explained something in german, waited a bit longer. Finally the tour resumed but it turned out a big part of it had been chopped off because there was some sort of demonstration at Brandenburg Tor, we had to take an alternate route that collapsed with a traffic jam. So it was super slow, nothing much to see, no audio guide of course, kids bored and complaining. It was a pain and after a good 30 minutes of that and having made no more than ten blocks we just got off the bus. I'm not saying it's their fault but I'm sure with some planning they could have come up with some sort of back up solution or compensation. We spent a lot of money for a botched experience.
