The best part of our food tour was our guides, Georgia and Alberto, who were everything you could wish for, with lots of anecdotes and history to share. The food at the first stop was quite good: local sausage and cheese with a glass of red wine. The pasta and polenta stops were okay, but not great. It was a rainy day, so bowed out before the gelato stop, which would have entailed a long hike back to a place we had already passed. Our major complaint was the route. We met at the bottom of a long, long hill and promptly hiked back up: why not start in the center where the food stops were?
