We took a return cable car to the castle. There were minimal queues on 1st Sep which was a pleasant surprise. Basically bought our ticket and we were on in 5 mins from arrival. Got a gondola to ourselves and the views were spectacular over the city of Barcelona. 15 euros return for adults

We got off the hop on hop off bus right in front of the funicular. There were no lines and the weather was terrific. The views are amazing.
