Bar Harbor Walking Tour
Overview
Join us on a small group tour of scenic Bar Harbor. Start at a local hotel and make your way past historic churches, cemeteries, and other community gems. This mostly flat experience will take us over approximately 1.5 miles of walking with stops along the way. Enjoy a walking tour led by a native Maine historian! Our tour guide is expertly trained in Maine history. We will take a step back in time and also learn about what life is like living in Maine today. We hope you can join us this summer in scenic Downeast Maine!

Most of the tour will be spent walking through town at a leisurely speed. Photos can be taken along the way. At each stop your tour guide will give you some information about the history and cultural significance. Most stops are listed but each tour is unique to the circumstances of the day.

Our tour guide was Catherine! She was lovely and very personable! I love history so the tidbits of information about Bar Harbor’s history was great, but was interesting to even the non-history lover as we were constantly seeing current day areas. It was an amazing intro to the town!
