Stop At: Batuan, Batuan, Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, Bali
We will start by visiting Batuan Village for a visit to the traditional Balinese House Compound to learn about the daily activities of the local people on their traditional house compound. Pura Desa & Pura Puseh Batuan is our next visit, it is one of the best opportunities for the visitor get visit the most important courtyard of the local Hindu Balinese Temple. Our tour will be continued by visiting Local Primary School at Desa Batuan. Gets the experience seeing the local Balinese children in their local school activities.

Stop At: Tegalalang Rice Terrace, Jalan Raya Ceking, Tegalalang 80517 Indonesia
Driving you up further to Ceking Village to get a nice view of the rice terraces. It is one of the smallest rice terraces located on our island.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple, Sebatu, Tegalalang 80511 Indonesia
we then proceed to the Holy Spring Temple. The hidden spring temple that’s located on the bottom of the hill. Water is one of the most important elements of our local Hindu believe, on special occasions such as full moon or new moon, many of Balinese peoples will come to this spring for doing the purification ceremony.

We had our best day of the holiday on our tour with Agus. We sent a WhatsApp message to Agus the day before and told him all of the places we wanted to visit. Agus and our driver Wayan picked us up from our hotel at 8am. Agus introduced himself and showed us on a map the route we would be takin...
We had our best day of the holiday on our tour with Agus. We sent a WhatsApp message to Agus the day before and told him all of the places we wanted to visit. Agus and our driver Wayan picked us up from our hotel at 8am. Agus introduced himself and showed us on a map the route we would be taking to visit every single place we had requested. On the journey to the first stop he told us lots about the Balinese culture and we asked him lots of questions of which he answered every single one with so much knowledge. He was so friendly, happy, bubbly and extremely interesting. Our first stop was Tanah Lot Temple. Agus told us all about the temple, helped us to take some lovely pictures together, and showed us the best places to see the best views. It was such a beautiful temple and definitely worth a visit. The next stop was the Elephant Safari ride. We arrived here and with Agus' help we were having cuddles with the elephants and having our ride with the elephant within half an hour! It was a truly amazing experience and again Agus took plenty of pictures for us so that we could remember the day. After each of our stops we were given ice cold bottles of water from the car to keep us hydrated. The car was lovely and cool and air conditioned. After the elephants Agus took us to D'Alas, Warung for a spot of lunch. He had contacted the restaurant prior to our arrival and requested two seats with a spectacular view over the rainforest for us as a honeymoon couple. It was breathtaking and certainly one of the highlights of our day. The restaurant was traditional Balinese food, and it was absolutely delicious. We have never tasted food so good in all our lives. Truly amazing. At this point Agus left my husband and I to enjoy our lunch together which was very thoughtful of him. We would have also been happy for him to join us as he was so friendly. After lunch, Agus took us to a rice terrace. Again,this was spectacular and like nothing we had ever seen before. We took some beautiful pictures and saw some more breathtaking views. After the rice terrace we went to another temple, Pura Gunung, this was a temple that we could enter. They supplied us with sarongs and Agus showed us round, explaining everything in such fine detail. We joined him in a ritual of feeding carp. Another fantastic part of the day. Once we were finished at the temple Agus took us to a beautiful place where we sampled different teas and coffees and cocoa grown on site. We sampled things that we have never experienced before and certainly thought we never would. Truly unforgettable addition to the day. We thought we would be running out of time after this but Agus did not disappoint. We carried on to the next location, the monkey forest. Here he showed us around and explained about the monkeys and told us some stories about the monkeys. Another experience well worth doing. Finally, on our journey back Agus took us to a local night market. This was incredible to see, he advised us not to eat certain things to stop us getting 'Bali belly' which we were very thankful for. A lovely way to see how Balinese live and work. I was quite poorly throughout the journey unfortunately and coughing alot, on the way back Agus stopped and went into a shop. He brought me some vapour rub to help me and told me what to do with it, thanks to you Agus I am feeling so much better today! I can honestly say, if there is one thing you do in Bali... go on a tour with Agus. He is the friendliest, most thoughtful tour guide you will ever meet. So knowledgeable about every single area. He will take you to places that are not full of tourists so that you experience the true Bali. Wayan, the driver, drove very safely the whole journey and supplied us with bottled water whenever we needed it. Having seen the reviews for Agus’s tours online we made contact with him to set up a tour of Bali while on our vacation. We were travelling with our 3-year-old daughter and wanted to make sure that the sights we visited with her were child friendly. Agus came up with a custom itinerary for us to take in all the sights we wanted to see and provide recommendation on others that may have been of interest. We also booked Agus for our airport transfer to make it seamless. Agus picked us up with his driver from both the airport and the hotel on the agreed time. He provided us with additional information on the locations we would be stopping at and gave us a map of the route we would be taking around the island. Each of the stops took our breath away. Agus’s expert knowledge meant that we were at the tourist locations before the tourist arrived or at sights not visited by tourist where only a local guide would know how and where to access. Agus’s tour was a great experience and his pride and enthusiasm he has of his home Bali made the tour. This was our first trip to Bali and we will be back again, mainly to do another tour with Agus and see more of this beautiful island.ktnsteve

Look no further for your guide while you’re in Bali. Seriously, TRUST ME, hire Agus. I couldn’t have dreamt of a better tour guide! From his amazing personality, good energy, and extensive knowledge of the beautiful island, he really is the best of the best. It’s also worth mentioning he’s an incredible photographer! His English is amazing, as well. The places you’ll tour will be gorgeous no matter what, but having a guide like Agus really makes the difference because he explained, in detail, the culture and the history of each place we visited. Experiencing the island isn’t enough without the knowledge to go along with it. His SUV is spotless, comfortable with reclining back seats, and he’s a very good driver. I’d also like to add he knows the land VERY well (which means short cuts to avoid the traffic in heavy tourist areas and more fun for you! Eating at the best restaurants and making friends with locals because Agus knows everyone!) We booked him for three days and then added a fourth because we loved him that much! Agus went above and beyond to make our tour in Ubud amazing. The whole day was incredible and his tour was a huge highlight of our honeymoon in Bali. He incorporated activities we requested in advance and then took us to many other places, as we trusted his plan. We went over the general map in the beginning so we could get a preview of the day and if we had any other requests. He really does find non touristy places that are basically empty which made the whole experience so smooth and personal. He is highly knowledgeable and we learned so much about the religion, culture, land and traditions. He is very organized and brought us everything we would need. He supplied many cold water bottles for us. Agus was super friendly, positive and fun. I highly recommend booking a tour with him if you come to Bali alone, as a couple, with family or friends. We had used various other companies for different tours and Agus was BY FAR the best. A bonus was that he took a lot of excellent pictures of us which will be memories we will have for ever.
