• Cochinita pibil - The Cochinita is marinated in a mixture of sour orange juice and with a mixture of red spices made with "axiote" seeds.
• Sikilp´aak´ - Sikilp’aak ’is a typical Mayan snack that is widely consumed in this region of the country and cannot be found in other parts of Mexico-
• Cornbread - Dessert made with corn without flour.

The Authentic Mayan Cooking Class in Cozumel is very enjoyable and informative! The chef at Ix Kool expertly guides you through some hands on creations. We made the best Guacamole and a salsa I’ve ever had. We also assisted in making the tortilla for the traditional Yucatán Panucho. We got to eat two kinds of Panuchos, a Ceviche and the traditional Pork and Black Bean soup. We were schooled on the preparation of all the dishes by the chef and a great video presentation on two big screen TVs………..actually, a nice touch! The food was unbelievably good, and fresh, of course! The venue is clean and modern. Easy to find with parking behind the shopping center. You will NOT be disappointed! Come hungry……you will get as much delicious food as you can eat😁We aren't sure which we liked more - the education from the cooking class or the authentic cuisine. Juan and Alex were entertaining and informative and made us feel welcome and much appreciated. Thank you Ix-Kool!
