Thought I'd alight the bus Downtown near the harbour to start instead of Sky City. Many different addresses online so took a punt. Needless to say, couldn't find the stop nor get through on the phone. Took a $15 taxi to Sky City! When I did discover where the stop is it was around the corner from where the bus map indicated. Might not have found it anyway. Alighted at the Museum which very comprehensive. Twice I was admonished rudely by the bus driver for standing up a bit early. Appreciate the safety aspect however who knows the exactly correct time to be ready to alight as a visitor?? As a mode of trsnsport to the Museum @ a bit of sightseeing, it was oksyBus was fine….round trip was kind of short only nine destinations. Gave a good orientation to Auckland and because the cruise boat was in they ran every 15 min but they were busy. We followed the voucher details to 1 Quay steeet to redeem our tickets but the instructions were poor. I eventually found them in the square with a stand. My husband was using a wheelchair, but can walk in short bursts. They were helpful with loading at all stops and helped store the chair. The commentary was not as detailed as on other similar tours I’ve been on which was a shame. It did say it included a ferry ride to Devonport on the brochure but it no longer was included as Ferry prices had dropped to $4.00 each way. We still did the trip across which gave a great view of CBD Auckland.Very convenient and a great way to explore Auckland when you’re on a cruise and only have 1 day to see what’s around. Highly recommended
Very convenient and a great way to explore Auckland when you’re on a cruise and only have 1 day to see what’s around. Highly recommendedThe ability to get to the aquarium and war memorial in particular was valuable. Easy to get to and helpful staff. Wait time a little long at some stops but when you have only 1 day it is the perfect way to get around.
