Excellent guided tour - Elena (our guide) provided all the details explaining Parthenon's history, the changes across the centuries, the invasions, the influences. Tour with lots of information, including pictures/drawings showing how things looked like centuries ago. Group was small (12-15 people), which brings a more private experience. A guided tour is a must have experience when you visit Parthenon, you will lose so many details if you just go on your own. Allow yourself to spend a few euros more and have such in-depth experience to know about its history, to "feel it" and not just "see it". And no questions Athens Walking Tours have the best guided tour!We joined a tour with Theodora, a real professional tour guide, very knowledgeable and kind, She studied both Archeology and Philosophy, which she naturally combines in her descriptions of this magnificent site.
