- The electric bikes will take all of the hard work out of your ride. We routinely have riders that span the spectrum of age and fitness. The main requirement is that you be coordinated and fit enough to balance a 55-pound bike. A training and practice session is provided at the start of each tour. For people that would like to go on the tour but are not able to balance a bike, it is possible to arrange a ride on the back of one of our stretch cargo bikes that will be driven by another person in your party.
- Legally, you must be 16 years or older to operate an electric bike. Guides reserve the right to request proof of age of any rider. Riders should also be at least 5 feet tall to operate their own bike. Guests younger than 16 may ride as a passenger with an adult in their group on the back of one of our cargo bikes or in a child seat (for children ages 1-6 or up to 48.5 pounds).
- Tours are subject to favorable weather conditions. If there is light rain in the forecast but none at the start of the tour, we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to ride. We will provide rain ponchos and rain covers for the storage bags on the bikes to protect your belongings. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.

Our guide was happy to customize our tour, (we were the only 2 ). He was very knowledgeable about the area, and gave a good historical viewpoint. We stayed at the Omni, so did not need to go there for views. Instead we saw the River Arts region, and several neighborhoods, in addition to the downtown. The bikes were comfortable, and learning to use them was easy. For such a hilly area, would highly recommend in order to cover more territory.Super trip! Highly recommend! All skill levels, fantastic guide, and beautiful town. The tour was recommended by a friend, and we are very glad we accepted her suggestion.

We were able to get to more places than we would have just on a walking tour. Our guide, Ethan, was knowledgeable and made the trip fun. If you haven't been on an e-bike before, there is a learning curve, especially when going uphill and starting the bike from a stand-still (recommend being in power setting one for such a circumstance so the bike doesn't accelerate too quickly from a stationary position). Otherwise, the e-bikes are a great way to get to many places around Asheville in a relatively short amount of time.We rented bikes and explored on our own with guidance from the Chris. Chris and his coworker were great. Answered all our questions and was very patience. The bikes were so much fun and were definitely the best way to see the city. I highly recommend Flying Bikes! A most do when in Asheville.

Interesting facts about the history of Asheville, the opportunity to see areas we wouldn’t have otherwise seen aaaaaaand doing it all while riding around on e-bikes made for a really fun addition to our trip. We only had 1.5 days in Asheville before heading to GSMNP and we are so glad we did this!!
