Artisan Ceramic Making Experience
Overview
Visiting and working in a professional ceramics studio is a unique experience. Our artisan ceramics workshop is accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya. The opportunity to try your hand at this craft tradition will create a unique and memorable experience. The workshop includes sharing pottery decoration techniques and fun. You will make a ceramic planter. Make your own flower pot.
Wendy and her husband Eric are the founders of Taller Gingell. Reviewed as "a new generation of exceptional artisans" and highlighted as "artisan projects you should know in the fashion world" according to Marie Claire, Condé Nast Traveller, RTVE Radio Spanish National TV and Radio and others.
Wendy’s exhibited her work in Europe and North America, including at the Smithsonian, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Barcelona Design Museum and the American Craft Council craft shows. Her work is part of permanent museums and private collections in North America and Europe.

Make Your Own Ceramic Planter.
Come and have fun. Learn how to hand build your very own ceramic planter.
Visit our workshop, learn about ceramics and try it yourself! Come on your own or with a friend - this is an open, friendly environment.
What you’ll learn and what we’ll do.
You will learn about ceramics, different clays and decoration techniques.
Let the fun begin.
Out come the aprons and clay to get your hands dirty. Hands on, you will make and personalise your own ceramic planter.
You’ll learn skills ceramists use when sculpting by hand. After your planter is complete you will learn to texture and add decorations.
No need to bring anything special, we’ll have an apron ready for you.
No prior ceramics experience is necessary.
Your Finished Planter
Ceramics take a bit of time to dry. So we offer two options if you are just visiting Barcelona:
Option 1: About 1 to 2 weeks later your ceramic piece is ready to pick up or mail. Shipping is not included in the workshop price. We ship worldwide via DHL.
Option 2: Just visiting Barcelona, can’t wait a few days? You can leave your planter and select a finished planter made by Taller Gingell to take home as a memory.

The ceramics class was really interesting, educational and fun! The owners speak great Spanish and explained everything in detail while also showing us how to mold the ceramic clay. I learned a lot. My girlfriend and I had so much fun taking this ceramic pottery class. Eric and Wendy were so friendly and accommodating and took the class through a great workshop to prepare us for creating our final masterpieces! They were so helpful along the way and made sure that everybody had enough time to finish their work. The class was taught in both Spanish and English which was appreciated by the class. I highly recommend Eric and Wendy’s ceramic making experience. Their shop is also a 2min walk from Carrer de Blai which makes for a great place to stop to grab some pintxos after the workshop!pebblesjy

An experience never to be forgotton. We were 3 and by far this has been one of the best experiences for all 3 of us in Barcelona. Eric and Wendy are so friendly and approachable whilst teaching us the techniques. They are also easy to speak to and we loved their company and getting to know them more. Moreso, the intro and explanation of demos were really simple to follow which made it easier for us to make our own pieces. Wendy gave attention to each one of us, telling us what she thinks would be better and what we were doing good on. Also she was kind enough to take so many pictures of us making our pots and was quick to email them through the next day. Thank you to both eric and wendy for conducting an experience that was our highlight of the trip. Totally recommend this experience. 👌
