Stop At: Salt River, Arizona
DIRECTIONS TO MEET LOCATION FROM PHOENIX:
Drive time is about 2.5 to 3 hours.
Take Highway 60 east (Superstition Highway) to Globe. Pass through Globe to the intersection of Highway 60 and 70. There is a traffic light here with a Taco Bell and Rebel Mart gas station on the right.
Highway 60 turns left, heading north towards Show Low.
Turn left and follow the Highway60/77 north for 41 miles to the Salt River Canyon Bridge.
Cross over the bridge and turn left onto the dirt river access road. Follow the Mild to Wild signs to our check-in site and we will direct you where to park!

Our guide Sam gave us the best experience we could ever ask for rafting down the Salt River. Everyone there(Lauren,Mike and Sam), made us fill welcome and answered all our questions with great knowledge. Weather was perfect and the scenery was beautiful. We were luck enough to be able to see a bald eagle fly over us at the same time two F35 fighter jets from the local base flew through the canyon. Apparently this happens once a eeek and we just happened to pick the right day. The ride back up river to our car was just as fun and beautiful as the raft down. Just be prepared to here Sam’s dad jokes. The equipment provided, wetsuits and splash jackets kept us warm when wet and didn’t have an unpleasant smell like at our other rafting experience down in Gatlinburgh. A+ service and value for a trip we would definitely book again. Thanks for a great day, the Reed family.
