Stunning landscapes, beautiful forests, a friendly, knowledgeable guide (Rui), and a lunch break at an a la carte restaurant that was decidedly more gourmet and upmarket than most tour lunches. The off-road segment was exciting without being scary, while some locations such as approaching Ponta de São Lourenço are not included in most tours of the East of the island. Covid-19 precautions were adhered to throughout: from a temperature check with an infrared device to obligatory mask-wearing, the tour felt safe throughout.
