Argolis, Trip to Culture (Nafplio, Epidaurus, Mycenae)
Overview
We’ll get on the car and first drive to the famous Corinth Canal. I will give you information about its history and take a lot of photos.
Second stop will be the ancient Theater of Epidaurus. This construction is known to be the most perfect sample of an ancient theater in Greece and one of the most amazing ones in the world, from a symmetry and perfect acoustics point of view. we will do an acoustic experiment and explain the connection of theater to medical science in the ancient years.
Next stop will be the picturesque and seaside city of Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece. We will explore together the old city and discover its hidden beauties, talking at the same time about its history. We will see the historic buildings, the squares and Palamidi, the castle above the city.
Finally we will visit the archaeological site of Mycenae where we will admire the tombs of the Kings, the great Walls and the museum.

Planning this private tour of 17pax went very smoothly as they were very responsive to my e-mails leading up to the day. As it was just for our group, they were flexible enough to make changes on our itinerary even during the day itself since we had very limited time and had companions that had trouble walking long distances. The tour itself was great, going to sights that were all new and interesting to all of us; and the tour guide was very knowledgable delving into details I don't think we would have ever appreciated if not for her.valmirob2022

It was a last minute decision, so I didn't have enough time to prepare, to get to know more about the agency, and places that we would be visiting. Dimitrios, who works at the agency, he was patient enough to answer my questions, and there were many. It was easy to make the booking and arrange all the details: payment, meeting point etc. We were a bit early, but our driver Vangelis was already there. L'agence de Loutraki (Maria) que nous avions sollicitée par internet avant notre séjour à Isthmia a été très réactive et a répondu à nos mails et finalement à nos attentes en nous proposant le circuit ARGOLIDE en minibus privé (nous étions 12), avec chauffeur et accompagnateur . Tout a donc été ficelé par internet dans une vraie relation de confiance réciproque. Par ailleurs, nous avons pu ajuster avec le dynamique accompagnateur Marios (qui se faisait très bien comprendre en anglais) les durées des différentes haltes (Epidaure, Nauplie (très charmante petite ville) et enfin Mycènes). La recommandation par Marios d'un restaurant typique à Nauplie (qui plus est, excellent et à un tarif intéressant) a été très appréciée par notre petit groupe d'amis. Un excellent rapport qualité-prix pour une excellente journée.
