AMA is the best! We heard from others that their ziplines are faster and longer than Monteverde's. Boy were we impressed. Not only did we do a ~1km zip and hit 55mph on another, but we got to look down at 2 waterfalls while doing it (including the famous La Foruna Waterfall). My family did AMA Ride option (12 ziplines, ride horses for 1km back) on 4/22/22. I was so nervous, I told my family to go without me, but they convinced me to do it. We had the best zipline crew (Pedro, Pablo, Johnny, and Alonso). The whole team was excellent, but Pedro stood out to my family for putting us at ease and making the whole experience just that much better. He even memorized the names of everyone in our group! My young children said he was their favorite too. When he saw how worried I was, he said he was nervous too. You just can't help but smile when you're around him. BTW, if you want to hike down to La Fortuna Waterfall, you can do so from AMA property. This experience was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. As AMA says, their job is to keep you safe, your job is to have fun. Our 7 yr old went zipping with a guide. They kept us flowing along. Loved the hilly trails and woods. "Ronny" was our main guide. He and the other gals were great. There are a few lines that are very long and high, which we loved. You also get to zip line past two waterfalls! If you are looking for zip lining, I would go with Mundo. However, 12 lines is a lot. It is really quite strenuous. Just be prepared for this!
