The tour guide never showed up. Drove an hour to get to Aosta for the tour, but no guide ever showed up. Called the company that runs the tour and the guy was nice enough but said he couldn't get in touch with the tour guide either and it was just cancelled.

Aosta is a beautiful old historical city. Many interesting shops and restaurants at every turn. Very lively and authentic. Well worth a visit.
