Overview
This is the best sightseeing adventure tour in Antigua! This tour is done on ATVs, were you choose to be a driver or a rider. Visit 4 Mountain attractions around Antigua which include a chocolate factory in San Juan del Obispo, ¨El Cerro¨ de La Cruz for a great aerial view of Antigua. Hobbitenango a unique ¨Hobbitt¨ Lord of the Rings theme eco-park, and ¨Earth Lodge¨ a relaxing place that has unique and wonderful views of the valley and volcanoes.
You will drive through cobblestone streets, paved roads, and some off road during this must do activity in Antigua.

This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Simoon Rentals & Tours, 6a Avenida Norte 60B, Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala
Hotel or Agency pick up, we sign agreements, get helmets, take pictures, and hand vehicles over and go over instructions.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: San Juan del Obispo, San Juan del Obispo, Antigua, Sacatepequez Department
The first stop on this tour is a village called San Juan del Obispo, which sits at the foothills of the Agua Volcano. In San Juan we visit a popular chocolate factory called Chocolateria Antigua, where they show us part of their chocolate making process, taste various flavors, and purchase the ones that we liked.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Cerro de la Cruz, Antigua, Guatemala Al final de la 1ª Avenida Norte, Antigua 03001 Guatemala
¨El Cerro de la Cruz¨ one of the best known attractions / sites in the city of Antigua. At the ¨Cross¨ we get a birds eye view of Antigua and the wonderful architecture of the city not to mention the Volcanoes. Once finished taking wonderful pictures and walking around the Cross.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Camino a Hobbitenango, Cam. a Hobbitenango, Vuelta Grande, Guatemala
After the Cross we head up to ¨Hobbitenango¨ a lord of the rings themed Eco-Park for some food, drinks, and fun. We leave our ATVs parked and go to Hobbitenango on a pick-up truck to sightsee, enjoy great views and various activities in this enchanted little forest.

Stop At: Earth Lodge, Pila El Tambor Antigua, Guatemala 00700, Guatemala
Our last stop is the lunch stop, and on this tour you have the choice of going to El Restaurante La Montaña del Hato a local avocado plantation with a restaurant and cabins serving more traditional / local food like steaks, soups, and chicken dishes and known for their delicious Avocado Smoothie. The other option is Earth Lodge, another avocado plantation with a restaurant and cabins serving more casual food like sándwiches, salads, and burgers either choice you wont be dissapointed on the food. After lunch, we head back down the mountain on our ATVs to our office/your hotel in Antigua.

A great day full of not only cruising through the streets of Antigua and surrounding towns on an ATV, but also multiple planned stops for ‘buena vistas’ and learnings about making cocoa and Japanese plum wine. Man this whole experience was so fun!! Gio was our tour guide, such a cool dude and answered a lot of questions. Hadn’t had this much fun in a while. Loved everything about it.
