Mary was fantastic, a complete delight from beginning to end. Extremely interesting however gruesome in a fun way.

Very animated leader. She did great. Liked that language was kid friendly. Kids were hoping for more haunts.

I was surprised there was a lot more emphasis on the gruesome aspects of torture and crime. Very stomach turning! I would be mindful bringing young or sensitive children, that being said, there were two preteen boys in our group that loved it! The walk is at a leisurely pace with many stops to hear a story and rest, the host was great at waiting for the entire group to arrive at each stop. The tour progressed from the top of the city down to the very bottom, be aware it includes hills, stairs and uneven terrain. If gore, theatre and history is your thing…. You’ll love this!Fiona was incredible. Not only was the tour informative, but it was full of humor and laughs. Anyone would think it’s a great way to walk around in the evening.

We travelled to Montreal and Quebec City with our twin 14 year old grandsons. As they are both in the French Immersion program (and have been since kindergarten) at school we booked the tour in French. On the day of the tour one of the boys was not feeling well so he did not attend. Up to this time the boys had been using their french to communicate with shop keepers and restaurant staff with good success and received compliments on their language skills. Our tour guide spoke very quickly and had less than perfect enunciation which made our grandson uncomfortable. After a brief introduction it beacame apparent that the experince would not be good for our grandson so we asked if we could join the english tour. We were told this was not possible even though both tours were still at the intial meeting place. We then asked if the guide could speak a little slower and he indicated he would but he did not slow down. We believe he was afraid that the other people in the group would be upset if he catered to our needs. The tour was interactive but not once did the tour guide attempt to engage our grandson in conversation. All in all a very poor experience. We realize we made an error in booking a french tour but when we requested a change to english or at least speaking slower and enunciating more clearly there was no accomodation.Great tour with Marie (Valerie). Very entertaining, informative and funny too. Pretty spooky and great way to spend our last evening in old town Quebec.
