Overview

Your tour starts from Batsi until the winery in Chora. During the 45 minutes drive you will drive by Aprovato, Palaiopolis, Pitrofos and many more beautiful villages getting a glimpse of Andros.

When you arrive at Kourtesis winery you will feel the amazing sense that this place offers.
Your first stop will be at the old sheep feeder which is now a plantery and you will smell the strong smells of marjoram, louiza, thyme, mint, and thrombus.
Then you will head to the old renovated stone grape press where you will experience how they used to press grapes in the old times.

Then you will start tasting the wine straight from the barrels and you will fill the tanines and the wine smells.

Many local delicaces like local cheeses and hams, but also local sweets will accompany your wine tasting.

At the end you will be guided at the vineyards where you will learn the process and the effort that it takes for the grape to be taken care of until it becomes a wine.

What to expect

Itinerary

You will be tasting the amazing Andros island wines, the red, the white wine but also the pink one!
Taste local delicacies and snacks, such as local cheeses, hams, olives and herbs but also local sweets.

Your first stop will be at the old sheep feeder which is now a plantery and you will smell the strong smells of marjoram, louiza, thyme, mint, and thrombus.
Then you will head to the old renovated stone grape press where you will experience how they used to press grapes in the old times. You will also press the grapes yourself with your feet and leave your footprint at a white piece of paper.
Then you will start tasting the wine straight from the barrels and you will fill the tanines and the wine smells.
Many local delicaces like local cheeses and hams, but also local sweets will accompany your wine tasting.
At the end you will be guided at the vineyards where you will learn the process and the effort that it takes for the grape to be taken care of until it becomes a wine.

The only nice think about this place is the view, the rest was just a very bad experience. We were 9 adults and 3 kids.
