Andros half-day sightseeing tour
Overview
Your first stop will be in Paleopoli village where you will see the remains of the island’s ancient capital and learn it history.
Then you will head to Menites village where you will see the village, the lion springs and the great walnut forest. There a magic trick will be waiting for you.
Then you will head to Apikia village and to Pithara waterfalls. The waterfalls are one of a kind spectacle that you will see nowhere in Cyclades.
Your next stop will be in Foros cave well you will see the small but exciting cave. You will learn about the rocks and the legends of this mysterious place.
Your last stop will be at Chora, the modern capital of Andros. You will see the market’s paved roads, the Unseen sailor statue, the Venezian castle and then you will have 45 minutes free time until you head back to Batsi.

This tour is a great way to get around the island and see the highlights including some that would be very difficult to access using public transport. Chantal was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and an excellent driver (on some tricky roads!). She was really flexible about where to take us and amended the trip based on our interests. We probably went over the time slot but never felt like we were rushed and also enjoyed a relaxing coffee at one of the stops.Our tour guide Chantal form VLM travel was amazing. She asked what we wanted to do as she can tailor the tour to whatever is of interest to you. She drove us to the waterfall, caves and we visited Batsi. Highly recommended – we would not have had the same full understanding of this ancient, deeply resonant island without this tour.We only had 3 days in Andros so decided to book this tour to give us a flavour of the island. Chantal our guide was superb. So knowledgable and a fantastic driver. She packed a lot into the 5 hours and it was great value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip and would highly recommend it....
