What to expect
Our trekking begins in the heart of the Andes mountain range where we will walk towards the Valle de la Engorda area, where we will have a panoramic view of the San Jose volcano and the Andes, in this place we will take a break to share, take photos and connect with nature. We resumed our way back to the van, recharged with the energy of the mountains.

- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund with 48 hours of anticipation.
- Vegetarian option is available and other dietary requierements, please advise at time of booking if required
- Recommendations: sunscreen, trekking shoes, daypack, camera and warm jacket, sun hat.
- Passport number, full name, country and date of birth is required at time of booking for all participants.
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Yes, we do have face masks. We ask tour participants to please bring their own masks, ideally reusable. As we are an ecological company we prefer not to have to use disposable masks to avoid contamination. We will also have an affidavit from the passenger that is free of the disease.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund

Gonsalo and Raymundo make an excellent team. They were prompt in s nosing us a WhatsApp note the day before with timing and expectation. The day of the trip, they were prompt in arriving at 6:30am and gave us more information on all that we can expect for the day. Once we got to the Mountain, they too great care in ensuring all of us had our snow shoes on correctly, and off we went on a fantastic hike to the volcano. The food that was provided was delicious and very high quality! Such an amazing experience. This tour has the convenient things included like hotel pickup and a picnic, but also awesome views and a fun hike. Our guide Mathias spoke English and Spanish and was great in explaining aspects of the hike and always ensuring that we were comfortable. The picnic is sandwiches, granola bars, juice, wine, and chips. You will see horses, goats, dogs and I recommend a jacket for the way back because the wind gets pretty intense! A hat and lots of sunscreen are helpful too. Mathias also took pictures of us whenever we asked and brought us to both a chocolate/sweets store and a small market after the hike. Overall awesome day!A somewhat challenging, but totally rewarding hike, with breathtaking views every step of the way. Our guide, Matias, has great knowledge and patience.

Everything went smoothly....from pick-up, Breakfast, walking tour, lunch and drop-off. You learn a lot and see a lot....you need only an average fitness level.
