Overview
You will be introduced to the best olive oil region in the world!
Starting from our authentic Istrian olive oil tasting room where you will be presented with the process of obtaining premium extra virgin olive oil. After a presentation and degustation we will move to the olive grove where you'll get to know a bit more about various types of olive trees.
Through this experience you will discover Istrian nature, our carefully tended olive trees and premium extra virgin olive oil.
As it is a for max 14 people it will be a relaxed one :)

Escape the crowds! Take the advantage of a small group experience with a local
It is a true Istrian farm to table story.
You will be guests at our family property built in 1899, located on a small hill surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and fruit orchards.
We will take you to our authentic Istrian olive oil tasting room where you will be presented with the educational story about the history of olive cultivation and phases of premium olive oil production today.
You will hear about our family tradition, harvesting process, year around works in the olive grove, how olive oil is extracted and how it should be properly stored, the evolution from past to today.
Proceeding to the charming garden where professional Olivo Istriano olive oil tasting will takes place, followed by a typical Istrian charcuterie board with homemade and local products only such as local cheeses, grandma's ricotta, jam, bread, prosciutto, salamino, ..
Of course, we'll throw in a glass or two of 2 local Istrian wines, olive digestive and our home made elderflower juice.
Kids will enjoy the private soccer field, our friendly dog and spacious garden.

Uns hat der Ausflug sehr gut gefallen. Es ist ein Stück Paradies auf Erden. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben kulinarisch eine ganz neue Seite kennengelernt. Alles, was auf dem Hof und der Region selbst hergestellt und angepflanzt wird, kann man nicht mit anderen Produkten vergleichen....
Uns hat der Ausflug sehr gut gefallen. Es ist ein Stück Paradies auf Erden. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben kulinarisch eine ganz neue Seite kennengelernt. Alles, was auf dem Hof und der Region selbst hergestellt und angepflanzt wird, kann man nicht mit anderen Produkten vergleichen. Es steckt viel Tradition und liebe in den Produkten und das kann man vor Ort spüren. Wir würden dieses Erlebnis jedem weiterempfehlen. Wir haben eine Flasche Olivenöl und ein Glas Feigenmarmelade gekauft. Dass man den Geschmack von Olivenöl so von herkömmlichen Produkten aus dem Supermarkt unterscheiden kann, hätten wir nie gedacht. Von nun an werden wir nur noch das Olivenöl von "Olivo Istriano" kaufen.F1189OVgeorged

My wife and I live in Oakland California, which also has a Mediterranean climate. We have two different fruit bearing olive trees in our front yard. For a dozen or more years I have been harvesting the fruit and brining the olives for eating. It was a great joy to walk among old olive trees and see them up close. I believe Rene indicated that there are over 500 trees made up of 13 different varietals that they press into their delicious Croatian olive oil. After the tour where I was able to share and gain information about olive cultivation, we were treated to a wonderful wine and a Croatian appetizer plate of cold cuts, cheeses, bread, and, of course, delicious olive oil produced on site. This is a tour well worth taking.femkew767

We had a wonderful experience learning about olive oil production, eating and drinking some divine local food and wine, and walking the olive grove with Rene. It was the perfect combination of education and relaxation. His family has operated their farm/business for four generations (and have started a fifth). Rene’s passion for the family business is evident. Learning to sample olive oil, and to understand how to gauge its quality, was very interesting. Everything on the platter of food he served was grown or produced locally, much of which came directly from their land. It was a perfect afternoon! Thank you, Rene!yanasmet

A beautifully located olive grove which produces delicious olive oil. The host was very kind and gave us an educational tour through the grove, followed by a tasting course of the most delicious and fresh Istrian products combined with their olive oil and some wine. I definitely recommend it!

Rene made us feel like we were part of the family during our visit. We were pleasantly surprised by the snacks provided and he gave us a very informative presentation. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Istria.
