What to expect
The Amsterdam XtraCold Icebar is one of the coolest places in town (literally!) and definitely in the top things to do in Amsterdam. This amazing bar is kept at a constant temperature of -10 degrees Celsius and everything is made entirely out of ice. Be amazed at this remarkable feat of engineering and enjoy the unique venue as you sip your favorite drinks from ice glasses.

Absolutely terrible experience. This is very badly run. We were given gloves but no coats and were herded into the ice bar without anyone even checking we had a coat on. We then had to make our way back out as we realised no one was giving us a coat in the ice part & then stand around for ages waiting for a coat to become available as other customers came out.The gloves were sticky & felt unclean.When we finally did manage to get a coat straight off the back of another customer ( no COVID regulations) & go back into the ice part the coats were very thin and gave no warmth at all so we couldn’t wait to get back out again. We did not enjoy it at all. Such a waste of money not an experience I will ever want to repeat.Loved this bar. From going in the normal bar getting your tokens for your free drinks to watching the video and the staff were funny as. You put your coat and gloves on then walk into basically a freezer 😂 it was ace . You drink out on frozen glasses and can stay in there having photos and you ...

That way you can sit & enjoy your drink after while warming up.

Underwhelming but still decent. The ice bar is very small and with only a 20 minute stint it’s more than £1 a minute - steep. The actor was great to lead us in and really played his role. I wish it had been an hour or something. Take your own gloves (and jacket) rather than wearing what is provided for your own comfort. You can stay in the bar after and purchase a photo taken inside the ice bar if you wish. It’s a decent enough bar in itself to stay in for a couple and move on. I wouldn’t go again.
