We were 4 American friends and we were wondering to start n visit the holiest shrine in amritsar .But we were welcomed by beautiful female guide Shyna who was with us throughout the day. 1he Golden Temple, holiest shrine in the world for the Sikh religion, was beautifully guided for us in the morning. We really felt the sacredness of the site and the sincerity of the pilgrims. Our guide help us to do little bit SEWA at the shrine which was worth praising for her capability because without her it would not be possible . We had amazing pictures Then we went to the solemn site of the 1919 Jallianwale-Begh Massacre, where hundreds of unarmed civilians were fired upon by British occupation forces. The memorial is a dignified remembrance of those lost. A small museum explains the event and its consequences. After having taste of local food , we were guided to the Wagah Border and saw the daily ceremony between military representatives of both India and Pakistan. Big Big thanks to our guide, she managed to get the perfect seats near the border safely . Super energetic! A thrilling end to an amazing day! We Highly recomend guide Shyna who was god gift to us that we had amazing aura of the city with safety and love .We enjoyed a lot with our guide as she was female guide and she helped us alot in explaining history of amritsar , going around local food , clicking pictures of golden temple and other tourist places The local food was mind blowing and so tasteful of authentic spices.

My tour was fantastic. I did it as a day trip from Delhi. Ashish was able to arrange pickup and drop off from the airport for a reasonable extra fee. Driver was there waiting and Ashish was coordinating in real time to ensure we connected. Lazia was a wonderful tour guide, friendly and very knowledgeable. As beautiful and impressive as the golden temple was, getting to see the kitchen area of where they feed all the pilgrims may have been my favorite part of the Golden Temple. Lazia talked me through the operation and its connection with the Sikh faith, which was fascinating. There was a long gap (4 hours) between the temple tour and border ceremony because of the temple would be too hot in the middle of the day (at least this time of year) and when the border ceremony occurs. I went to a mall, which was fine, though many stores were closed. I went to the Partition Museum, which was a great and interesting introduction to the next part of the tour. What to say about the Wagah border ceremony, it’s an experience and well worth it! Lazia sat in another section, which was not an issue. On the way back I was able to ask her all sort of questions. This tour is designed for people staying in Amritsar. It’s doable as a day trip from Delhi but flight schedules made it a long day. It might be nice to have add-on options for those without hotel rooms to return to beat the heat between the two portions of the tour. Not a criticism at all, just a suggestion. All in all, a great tour and I highly recommend! Thank you, Ashish and Lazia!Leisurely paced, private tour of the Golden Temple, Jalliawala Bagh and Wagah border ceremony. Our guide Lazia was very good. Car and driver Sonu were also very good. Took great care of us. Lazia gave us an excellent tour of the temple’s kitchen. Great value.
