We had the pleasure of having Waleed as our driver on the first day of our visit. He took 4 of us from our hostel in Amman to Jerash where he waited hours for us to finish exploring and then took us on an unplanned extra drive to Ajloun Castle where he waited patiently again. We had a fun journey...
We had the pleasure of having Waleed as our driver on the first day of our visit. He took 4 of us from our hostel in Amman to Jerash where he waited hours for us to finish exploring and then took us on an unplanned extra drive to Ajloun Castle where he waited patiently again. We had a fun journey where he was more than happy to let us DJ and use his WiFi. He made us feel extremely welcome in Jordan so much so that we recommended him to multiple people who also had great things to say about him. We used him on our day trip to Ma’in hot springs again later in our stay and had a fantastic time. He goes above and beyond to ensure visitors to Amman are happy and offers an extremely reasonable price. I also booked him to drive me to the airport which was a really cool end to a great trip to Jordan. Call him on 00962799952938Waleed is an excellent taxi driver! He took me around to several places! He is very polite, he offered me water and sweets during the trips. His cat is very clean and comfortable! He is a nice men and I definitely recommend him for travellers who want to visit Jordan.

Our driver was Waleed Hassan (+962 7 9995 2938) and he was superb. We had him for a full week, doing day trips from Amman to Umm Qais and Pella, Jerash and Ajloun, the Eastern Desert castles, Umm ar-Rasas and down to Wadi Rum, and then back up via Wadi Musa (Petra), Shobak and Karak castles to Madaba and finally around Madaba to Mukhayyat, Mt Nebo and Bethany, and back to Amman. He also did the return to the airport for us. Waleed was highly professional as a driver - always early to collect us in the mornings, never looking to rush us (at each stop we were told to take our time and he would fit the rest of the day around our priority sites) and regularly suggesting detours either to other sites or to fun local things. He also recommended a good budget camp at Wadi Rum (the Panorama Camp run by Hani) and a really good-humoured and knowledgable guide (Khalid, +962 7 9725 6886) for Petra. Khalid ultimately gave us an extra hour on our tour of Petra’s main sites and didn’t ask for any additional fee. We would highly recommend him. Waleed was relentlessly kind, funny and generous. He bought us delicious packed breakfasts and lunches each day, stopped to pick up tea and coffee at the roadside and bought us several lovely presents (eg a purse and bracelet for my girlfriend and majdoul dates for me). There was never any hint that he expected any extra fee for going above and beyond what he needed to do.
