Khao Sok National Park is a nature reserve in southern Thailand containing dense virgin jungle, towerlike limestone karst formations and the man-made Cheow Lan Lake. It’s home to rare species such as the giant parasitic Rafflesia flower, hornbill birds, gibbons and tigers. The park can be explored by elephant-back safari, hiking trail, and raft, canoe or kayak via the Sok river.

Thailand’s largest hydro-electric project produced an exceptionally GORGEOUS lake in their lush rain forest, populated with interesting sights and experiences; long-boat rides, caves to explore with limestone formations, swimming, hiking, and just hanging-out to revel in the stunning setting. Impossible NOT to be impressed and moved by visit to this place. Our trip was supported by a great guide and a comfy a/c equipped van. Excellent trip all around. I booked a group tour but ended up being a private tour with a hotel pick up from JW Marriott Khoa Lak. The guide was amazing and very patient, he waited for us and allowed us to be places as long as we wanted. The lake is gorgeous!! Highly recommend. The mountains ar...
Excellent trip all around. I booked a group tour but ended up being a private tour with a hotel pick up from JW Marriott Khoa Lak. The guide was amazing and very patient, he waited for us and allowed us to be places as long as we wanted. The lake is gorgeous!! Highly recommend. The mountains are similar to the limestone islands in the bay but you are much closer to them and completely surrounded. Lots of water and coke available on the trip!
