Absolutely mind bubbling experience by Francisco and Harold on a non hurried trip from our hotel in Managua to the Masaya volcano. Francisco’s on point narration in clear and concise English through the entire journey continually peaked our interests. Harolds mastery of French made for a fun trilingual car ride including stops for fresh squeezed cane juice cocktails and the national park museum. With perfect timing, the colors of the sky as the sun set over the smoking volcano. Francisco took us around to all of the best spots for viewing the multiple craters, ending with the amazing glow coming from the center of the earth. Huge clouds covered the lava much of the time, but, because we were on a private tour, we were able to stick around long enough to see the crater clear up enough to see the roiling, molten rock. Also, after all the other tour groups left, we could hear the lava under the cacophony of crickets and bats, an extra value added to the experience. Francisco and Harold gave us a not to be missed introduction to Nicaragua. We wanted to experience as much as possible in the limited time we had in Nicaragua which is why we decided to book a tour with Vamos Travel Nicaragua. We wanted to experience as much as possible in the limited time we had in Nicaragua which is why we decided to book a tour with Vamos Travel Nicaragua. We wanted to see the country from a local’s perspective which is how we met Franklin, the owner of Vamos Travel Nicaragua Franklin does it all! From history, transportation, photography, and friend, it was so helpful to travel through Nicaragua with a local expert! Right away we knew we made the right decision.. It was a great feeling to have someone waiting for us at the Costa Rica / Nicaragua border. Vamos Travel Nicaragua crafts their tours to best experience the country's history, culture, and most importantly food. =) Our favorite experiences were volcano boarding, Masaya volcano and the León city tour. With more than 16 years of experience as a certified tour guide, Franklin is a walking encyclopedia of dates and did a great job of conveying the history and information in an engaging and interesting way! Vamos Travel Nicaragua is a master at customizing his tours to each of their customers. We told Franklin the things we wanted to see and he made sure that we were able to experience them. It was very helpful with our limited time to have his honest opinion on what was worth seeing and what we could skip. We really wish that we had time to explore the beautiful country of Nicaragua, but so thankful for our incredible experience with Vamos Travel Nicaragua! We toured the country, but wherever we went we were told that visiting Masaya was a "must do". We toured the country, but wherever we went we were told that visiting Masaya was a "must do". Franklin was an amazing and informative guide, he even stopped to get us dinner as we had been running around all day. We spent a good portion of our time at the summit on FT with friends and family as the experience was overwhelming. No excuses, just go!✅ off a bucket list - seeing flowing lava was amazing! Julio was the very best guide - so knowledgeable and the nicest man!

Tour guide Victor was fantastic! Invaluable source of information regarding his country. We went to the volcano and because of weather they would not let us in....he took the time to take us to some great views and then took us back a second time (which he did not have to do) and they let us go up to the volcano! It was quiet and you could actually hear the volcano spewing lava.....INCREDIBLE!!!!
