It’s also well known for strong tradewinds, forming a natural wind tunnel of sorts. It was here in 1795 that Kamehameha The Great conquered the island of Oahu in one of the bloodiest battles in Hawaiian history. Led by Kalanikupule, the defenders of Oahu were driven back up into the valley where they were trapped above the cliff. More than 400 of Kalanikupule's soldiers were driven off the edge of the cliff to their deaths 1, 000 feet below.

This a great tour to Oahu as you get to see all the major spots on the island. The day is long, but Jojo, our guide made it more pleasurable with his aunty stories, insight into the culture / history / nature and kept us entertained. Highly recommend this tour. We suggest that tourists are taken to the Luno Heiau (temple) at the Waimea Arboretum and Botanical Garden. We felt special and blessed by Luno himself as we saw a peacock come down towards us from behind the temple. We loved our tour! JoJo was a wonderful tour guide! Along the way, he was very informative and entertaining. This tour is a must do if you want a taste of the entire island!

This is a perfect way to start a visit to Oahu. JoJo, our guide, was amazing in his knowledge of all things Oahu: history, culture, plants, animals, food, geology, and legends. He kept us entertained for 10 plus hours with his fascinating stories about island life. Seng, our driver, was likewise expert at maneuvering us around the not-always-super highways of Oahu. We especially enjoyed Waimea Falls and the Dole plantation.Jojo was our tour guide and Sang our driver. Jojo was our tour guide and Sang our driver. Jojo was lively and made this long day feel short and full of Hawai'i fun facts and aunty/uncle tales. Both of our sons soaked up all the stories Jojo shared with us. Our whole family loved the lunch stop at Fumis shrimp. We had live music at lunch which added a fun family ambiance to the delicious lunch. Next stop was the waterfall. Having Jojo walk with the group to the waterfall was reassuring that we stayed on the right path and entertaining along the way. He gave full descriptions of all the plants and foliage. Not to short change our driver, Sang was impressive too! The way he maneuvered the bus in tight turns and driving completely backwards downhill. Wow!! What a great tour day start to finish! Our family of 4 highly recommend this tour!Great tour! Very much fun and informative. Can’t imagine a better guide than Jojo! Would highly recommend this tour!
