Our family had a FABULOUS time doing the zipline tour through the beautiful fall scenery and over the animas river. Phil was incredible with my kids - quickly putting them at ease with jokes. Kevin was so personable and helpful, and Emily had lots of great science facts to share. My kids (ages 9-14) immediately asked if we could do it all again in the future. The food was delicious -- you will not be disappointed! The expense is worthwhile as they do a truly top notch job with all aspects. This was a 60th Birthday surprise. And WHAT a surprise. I'm not a "heights" person but honestly - do NOT let that stop you as it didn't stop me. First, loved the train ride. We took it from Rockwood to Soaring and it was just the right amount of time and with all the BEST views. We sat in the outside carriages and glad we did so you can absorb the whole train experience. We were greeted by such a great group of smiling and friendly staff members. As the day went along, we got to know them more as we saw them quite frequently, as we "popped up" onto each tree stand as we zipped along. All the staff were exemplary, trained to a "T", and very patient, explaining everything well. I loved how the experience was mapped out - with the easier zip line coming first so that you could get a feel for it and learn to trust in the harness. Never felt unsafe at any point during the experience - in fact, I felt giddy at times from the adrenaline rush, and enjoyed every moment! The gourmet lunch was indeed that. Delicious, well prepared and thoughtfully presented. And really? Homemade ice-cream sandwich to include homemade choc chip cookie? Count me in! From start to finish, this truly was a once-in-a-lifetime memory and I am so thankful I have it!! THREE WORDS: GO DO IT!I had two favorite parts: The Soaring and the wonderfully educated and devoted Rangers. The Rangers had been carefully selected and educated for the tasks that they were called on to complete. The Rangers were excellent!

We took the train from Durango so that we could get the full train experience, rather than the optionally-shorter ride from Rockwood. The train was a lot of fun by itself, the views spectacular! When we arrived all of the staff were there to greet us and immediately had us getting ready for the day. This was an extremely smooth and efficient operation. Everyone that works there is fantastic and on the ball. There was no waiting around for anything to happen, the entire day was busy and fun. We had an absolute blast. Lunch and snacks were provided and were awesome on their own. Totally unexpected! If you're into adventure, this is an awesome place to spend the day. Can't recommend enough. Thank you all!
