Alaska had always been on our bucket list, a dream destination that seemed both awe-inspiring and elusive. However, this year, my sisters and I decided to turn that dream into reality. Our trip to Alaska turned out to be an unforgettable adventure, largely thanks to one incredible person who made it all possible - our guide, Angie. Our adventure began when Angie picked us up and immediately her boundless enthusiasm made us recognize it would be a great day. She immediately made us feel at ease, as if we were old friends embarking on a grand adventure together. The baluga tour and wildlife center was our first taste of the incredible fauna that Alaska has to offer. Angie's knowledge of the animals and her dedication to their conservation was inspiring. The animals LOVE her💙 We learned about and witnessed animals like grizzlies, eagles, and moose up close, all while receiving fascinating insights from Angie. Next on our itinerary was a cruise to Portage Glacier, a breathtaking journey through the icy waters of Alaska. The glacier's immense beauty left us speechless, and Angie was there to provide us with the history and science behind this natural wonder. She also knew all the great pics to take!! Her passion for the environment was contagious. However, what truly set Angie apart was her knack for uncovering hidden gems along the way. Surprise stops that were not part of the original plan turned out to be some of the most memorable moments of our trip. We stumbled upon pristine lakes, lush forests, and secluded waterfalls, each more stunning than the last. Angie's ability to spot wildlife was nothing short of remarkable; we even had the incredible luck of witnessing a large group of beluga whales swimming gracefully in the distance, a sight we will cherish forever. Throughout our journey, Angie's infectious enthusiasm and deep knowledge of Alaska's landscapes and wildlife were evident. She shared stories, answered our questions, and ensured we were comfortable every step of the way. It was as if Angie had become our Alaska sister, guiding us through this majestic land with boundless energy and genuine care. As our adventure came to an end, we couldn't help but feel immense gratitude for Angie and the incredible experiences she had curated for us. Alaska had exceeded our wildest expectations, and Angie's passion and expertise had transformed it into an unforgettable journey of discovery. We had a wonderful experience on our Alaskan Adventure. We had a wonderful experience on our Alaskan Adventure. Angie was organized, attentive and quite knowledgeable about the Alaskan sites we visited. We enjoyed the ride up the tram to our lunch and adult beverages in Alyeska. The scenery was breathtaking! We had a guided tour of the Wildlife Center where Angie knew each animal’s back story and name. The Portage lake glacier boat ride got us up close to the ice and was spectacular! Our comfortable van ride between sites was full of interesting facts and laughs. An absolutely tremendous adventure. We would tour anytime with Angie from Adventurous Winos. This is the way to go! We booked a private 2 day tour with Angie before catching our Cruise boat in Whittier. She showed us so many neat things in Anchorage and surrounding area. We visited Hatchers pass, Independence Mine, Alyeska Tram, Wildlife sanctuary, Anton Anderson tunnel and a quick tour of Whittier. She was humorous and very flexible on plans. We enjoyed the charcuterie board and beverages, just what we needed after a long travel day. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 star, we hope to do it again.
